When the temperatures in the valleys heat up, Brian Head is the place to be.  Summer days are cool and offer the perfect environment for outdoor activities.  Many miles of trails allow you to experience the beauty of the local area.

From easy trails such as Alpine Pond Nature Trail, a 2 miles roundtrip that runs along the rim of Cedar Breaks Monument, surrounded by forest is a relaxing hike where nature's beauty is awe inspiring.  Often you'll see deer and other animals along the trail.  The Alpine Pond can be found about the middle of the hike.  Take a moment to admire the beautiful wildflowers and listen quietly and you may spot a deer or hear the birds singing.  For the experienced hiker, try Blowhard, a 4 mile hike with steep drops and heavy forest that will take you to marvelous overlooks and Red Canyon.  These are just 2 of the many trails to enjoy during your stay.

Adventurous folks can enjoy Mountain Biking.  Hop on the ski lifts with your Mountain Bike and experience the thrill of riding downhill on the slopes.  From a point just below Brian Head Peak, you can access 16 miles of trails, averaging 3 to 4 miles.

Fishing is everywhere from mountain streams to Navajo and Panguitch Lakes.  Don't forget to obtain your Utah Fishing License before dropping your pole in the fruitful waters.

ATV trails are also prominent in the Brian Head area.  There are several places to rent ATV's in Brian Head.
